Scattermusic is the new record label brainchild of the acclaimed music blog Scatterblog. Scattermusic releases new, individual, fresh styles of club music as featured on the Scatterblog and during “Scatterblog Presents…” parties at The Espy. Scattermusic will be leading the way for digital record labels with a new model on releasing music; by releasing music for free, through their blog and individual tracks on other blogs. They have releases coming from Tranter, Swick and Dubbel Dutch to name a few so 2010 will be the year of the scatter.

Today I have a little bit of information about their third release from the Brazilian maestro of rave Edu K.

Edu K has been a master of dance music for years. From his forward thinking Baile Funk to his Rave Zombie Electro and now his worldy, percussion inspired tech house, Edu K has always managed to shock and inspire his audience with his take on music.

His first release with Scattermusic is a 2 track EP, packed to the brim with remixes. The EP includes the tracks “Ja, Mann!”; a cheeky, worldly minimal track filled with energy and plenty of drum rolls and “Jumpin n Pumpin”; a crazy, horn-fuelled number that doesn’t know when to quit.

The release is supported with a batch of kool remixes from the likes of Mom&Dad, Femme En Fourrure, Slap & Dash, WILDLIFE!, Dubbel Dutch & Lewis CanCut.

Today I present you with something that isn’t on the EP, its Edu K’s own re-fix that he did to promote the EP!

Edu K – Ja Mann (Edu K Re-fix)

If you feel like giving the artist and label some monetary support, you can grab this release from almost all major online mp3 stores, including iTunes (only $6.99 USD), Juno Download and Turntable Lab. If not head over to Scatterblog to get the whole release
